There are the obvious care instructions that everyone should be following like brushing twice a day and flossing once a day, but outside of that what can we be doing?

  • Nutrition – Your diet plays a big role in the health of your teeth. Avoid sugary and sticky foods and instead eat healthier alternatives
  • Avoid food, drink and habits staining your teeth – Most often, the habits that we that are staining our teeth are the hardest to get rid of. But if a vibrant smile is what you are after, stoping or at least cutting back on things likes coffee, wine and cigarettes could help shave off years to the appearance of your teeth.
  • Drink Water! – Staying hydrated is an important part of our overall health, but also to your teeth. Be sure to drink water throughout the day to wash away any harmful bacteria or food particles that may be lingering.
  • Natural Teeth Whitening – There are many ways to whiten your teeth with every-day household foods and products.
  • Over-the-Counter Teeth Whitening – There are many teeth whitening products anyone can buy at the store. Be sure to consult your dentist for the best products for you.
  • Purchase a Good Toothbrush – A toothbrush is a toothbrush, right? Not all toothbrushes are created equally. They come in all shapes and sizes and it is important to select the right toothbrush for you.
