Keep your Smile Bright for Valentine’s Day!

Valentine’s Day is upon us! Couples are making preparations to go out for dinners and other festivities for the day. Everyone is trying to look their best, and one trait that looks good on everyone is a healthy and bright smile! But keeping your teeth in optimal health can be challenging this time of year due to the sugary treats exchanged. Jordan Dentistry, located in Cumming, GA, has these tips to keep you grinning from ear to ear this Valentine’s Day!

Dental Care Tips

  1. heart lockBrush your teeth twice a day. This one is a pretty basic one, but important. Brushing twice a day helps to keep your smile at its optimum vibrance and health.
  2. A lot of the sweets that are associated with Valentine’s Day are sticky candies. These candies can cause some of the most damage. If you eat these (and we know it is almost impossible not to), make sure to rinse your mouth afterward. A simple glass of water after consuming some of these candies can really make a difference.
  3. Be sure to floss! Even if you brush all of those sweets away, some might still be lingering between your teeth.
  4. Try not to eat too much. This is the single most difficult step. It’s sitting there right there, taunting you. Though it is tempting, do your best to steer clear of some of the sugary and damaging foods you may encounter. Everything in moderation!
